Egypt Highlights

Day 1: Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo airport, you will be met and assisted through airport arrival formalities. You will then take a private transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Cairo (B,L)
Today you can enjoy a full day guided tour of the city including visits to the Egyptian Museum, housing the magnificent treasures of Tut Ankh Amon, the Citadel of Saladin, Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque and Khan El Khalili bazaars. You will break for lunch at a first class restaurant. In the late afternoon, you will return to your hotel.

Day 3: Cairo - Luxor - Nile Cruise (B,L,D)
After an early breakfast, you will transfer to Cairo airport to connect to your domestic one hour flight to Luxor. Upon arrival you will be met and will then be taken on a morning guided tour to the West Bank of the River Nile to visit Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens "Hatshepsut's Temple" and the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch onboard your Nile Cruise boat, you can then enjoy an afternoon guided visit to the East Bank of the Thebes, visiting the Karnak and Luxor Temples. You will then be transferred back to your Nile Cruise for dinner.

Day 4: Nile Cruise (B,L,D)
After a leisurely breakfast, this morning you will sail to Edfu via the Esna Lock. After enjoying lunch onboard the cruise, in the afternoon you will continue cruising. You will be treated to a Sunset tea and later to dinner and entertainment.

Day 5: Nile Cruise (B,L,D)
This morning you can take a guided visit to the Temple of Horus, the best preserved temple in Egypt, built in 236BC by Ptolemy III. After lunch, the cruise will sail to Kom Ombo, where you can enjoy a guided visit to the beautiful Greco Roman Temple. Again this afternoon you can enjoy tea at sunset on the main deck. Tonight there will dinner followed by a Galabia party, after which you will commence sailing to Aswan.

Day 6: Nile Cruise (B,L,D)
This morning you will have the opportunity to visit the impressive Aswan High Dam, followed by a visit to granite quarries where you can view Egypt's only uncompleted obelisk. After lunch onboard the cruise you can take a Felucca sailing trip on the Nile, passing by the Nilometer, Elephantine Island and the botanical gardens on Kitcheners Island. This evening you will be treated to a farewell dinner onboard your cruise boat.

Day 7: Nile Cruise - Cairo (B)
After breakfast, you will take a private transfer to Aswan airport to board your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of today is at your leisure to explore Cairo.

Day 8: Cairo (B,L)
Today can enjoy a full day guided tour of the surrounding area of Cairo. This morning you will be taken to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt and its funerary Necropolis in Sakkara. After pausing for lunch at a first class restaurant, you will then visit the Pyramids at Giza, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Kephren.

Day 9: Cairo (B)
After breakfast, you will take a private transfer to Cairo International airport. You will receive assistance through airport departure formalities before boarding your return flight home.
