another 1000. There is also a museum featuring instruments, costumes and photographs of performers.

The Base is the highest ski centre in Argentina with a top of 3430m above sea level and the tracks go down in wide slopes to the foot of the mountain at 2250m.
The snow is well known for its quality, and is a consequence of the dry climate. There is powder in abundance from June to October. Annual snowfall at the base is 1.50m and 3,50m at the top. Snow depth averages around 0.50m in the base, 1m in the intermediate part and 1.50m at the top. The lower tracks have canyons made of artificial snow that guarantee the existence of snow all-year round.
The valley has 12 lifts that cover more than 13 km; 7 chairlifts; 1 quadruple chairlift and 6 double chairlifts that can transport up to 10,000 skiers per hour. Four lifts start at the base, Venus, Eros I, Eros II and Vesta and these take skiers quickly to the desired sector. They operate from 9am to 5pm (8 hours). There is also a teleski school directed by qualified people at the foot of the hill that is free and used by beginners to learn how to use it.
There are 39 tracks made for all levels, 65 km in total; 3,800 hectares of snow that cover 1,230 metres. The tracks are distributed according to each skiers' level: green for beginners (5 km), blue for intermediates (15 km), red for advanced skiers (20km) and black for experts (24km). The resort has a Snowboard Park, with jumps and half-pipes, located at the foot of the mountain.
