Amazing Voyages kept track of us every day and we cannot explain how important it was to us to feel that we were in very good hands. Every driver and guide was always on time and very gracious and helpful and our every need was taken care of for us. We really appreciate your professionalism.

The Plaza Grande in Quito is absolutely fabulous, the Royal Palm in the Galapagos is the best hotel we ever stayed in; the chef is outstanding, his meals are some of the best we ever had. Did you know that Prince Charles stayed there when he visited the islands? We are sure that the service we received was just as good as his. We had a marvelous time in the Galapagos and it was living a dream.

Spend the day exploring Colombia's bustling capital with its mix of old and new, trendy and traditional. Founded in 1538 it is now Colombia's largest financial, political and cultural centre. In the morning enjoy a walking tour through the streets of La Candelaria, the oldest part of the city and Bogota's heart and soul. Bolivar Square is the focal point of the area and is home to the Palace of Justice, Colombian congress, The Mayor's Office and the Cathedral of Bogota. Also visit Botero Donation on Calle 11 where the works of Fernando Botero are permanently exhibited. After lunch visit the Gold Museum within the Banco de la Republica. The museum is one of the finest collections of gold in South America with 35,000 pre-Columbian pieces, including items which may have come from the legendary Lake Guatavita where the rulers of the area bathed covered in gold dust.
